At Wes's Way Foundation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their passions, develop their talents, and experience the joy of belonging.
Our mission is to remove financial barriers that prevent children from participating in extracurricular activities. Whether it's helping pay for sports equipment, music lessons, theater programs, club fees, summer camps, art supplies, or other enrichment opportunities, we are committed to creating access where it might not otherwise exist.
We know that the lessons learned outside the classroom—teamwork, confidence, perseverance, creativity, and friendship—can shape a child's future just as much as academics. Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, we strive to ensure that every child has the chance to say "yes" to the activities that inspire them.
We believe that every child deserves the chance to belong, to grow, and to dream. By opening doors to opportunities they may not otherwise have, we hope to carry forward Wes's generous spirit—one child, one family, and one opportunity at a time.

How Wes’s Way Began
The idea behind Wes’s Way began long before the foundation had a name.
From the moment Wes became part of our family, he believed in giving kids opportunities to do the things they loved. When Erik wanted to play his first season of flag football, Wes paid the registration fee. When Annie needed her first pair of soccer cleats, Wes bought them. He never made a big deal about those things. To Wes, if a kid wanted to participate and he could help make it happen, you just helped.
Wes used to talk about what he would do if he ever won the lottery. He didn't dream about fancy cars or a bigger house. He would say he wanted to hear a story on the news about a youth team that couldn't afford equipment, a school band that needed instruments, or a group of kids who needed a little help—and simply show up and provide it. No recognition needed. He just wanted kids to have the chance to participate.
After we lost Wes, those conversations kept coming back to us. We may never have won the lottery, but we realized we didn't need to.
Wes’s Way Foundation was created to do, little by little, exactly what Wes always dreamed of doing: notice where a child is being told “no” because of cost, step in when we can, and help turn that “no” into a “yes.”
It’s what Wes would have done.
Now we get to keep doing it his way.
