Allison Griffin is Wes’s wife and a lifelong educator who has spent more than 20 years supporting children and families. As a special education professional, she believes deeply that every child deserves the opportunity to belong, participate, and discover what they love.
After losing Wes unexpectedly in April 2026, Allison wanted to find a meaningful way to carry forward the generosity, kindness, and genuine love for people that defined him. Wes’s Way Foundation grew from that desire—to honor Wes by helping kids say “yes” to opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
Allison lives in Spokane with her two children, Erik and Annie. Through Wes’s Way, she hopes to continue building the kind of legacy Wes would be proud of: one child, one opportunity, and one “yes” at a time.
Chelsea is a life long friend of Wes and Ali. She is a special education teacher and is passionate about providing equitable access to resources for kids. Participating in extra curricular activities whether that be sports, arts, or music can be a life changing experience.
"Every kid deserves to have the opportunity to engage with friends, be part of a team, have access to safe adults, and be connected to the community in a way that works for them. Wes was the kind of person who believed in the power of community and connection and he lived that out daily. Being a part of helping to continue his legacy is an honor."
Reanna Blair was born and raised in Spokane, Washington where she attended Shadle High School and was involved in many band groups, dance and cheer.
"I have since moved to Portland Oregon and an lucky to be the mother to three wonderful children. I'm currently a hair stylist and have been working in the industry for 26 years and counting. I love what I do and I get to serve a wonderful clientele and community. I love to spend my spare time at our kids sports practices, games and performances.
Wes was so great at encouraging the young people around our community to find something that they loved. We are so excited to be able to build a legacy in his honor that centers around enabling students to follow their dreams."
David Lam is a long time friend and neighbor of Wes and Allison. He is active in a various Spokane area non-profits that focus on supporting children in the community.
"While it may sound cliche, Wes had the biggest heart of anyone I knew. He brought Erik and Annie into his life with wide open arms and wanted to make sure they had the opportunities to thrive. He loved his family and is an inspiration to everyone."
